Bilastine 20mg is a non-drowsy antihistamine used to relieve allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, and itching caused by hives (urticaria).

How It Works

Bilastine blocks histamine, a substance released by the body during allergic reactions. This helps reduce common allergy symptoms while causing less drowsiness than many older antihistamines.

Possible Side Effects

• Headache
• Drowsiness or tiredness
• Cold or flu-like symptoms

Most people tolerate Bilastine well. Contact your healthcare provider if side effects are severe or do not improve.

Important Information

• Take on an empty stomach for best results.
• Take at least 1 hour before meals or 2 hours after eating.
• Avoid grapefruit juice and other fruit juices, as they may reduce effectiveness.
• Tell your doctor about all medications you take, especially ketoconazole, erythromycin, diltiazem, or ritonavir.
• Use during pregnancy only if recommended by your healthcare provider.

Recommended Dosage

The usual dose for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older is 1 tablet (20mg) once daily, taken with water. If you miss a dose, take your next scheduled dose as normal. Do not take a double dose.
